MDGOP Chair Diana Waterman has sent out a thank-you to the nearly 300 “enthusiastic Republicans who came together to meet, mingle and conduct business” during the 2013 MDGOP Fall Convention held in Annapolis November 22 and 23.
Convention sponsor was Change Maryland’s Larry Hogan (www.ChangeMaryland.org) who announced during the party he hosted on November 22 that he will not make an announcement regarding his possible run for MD Governor until January, 2014.
One of the highlights of the Saturday session was an appearance by Annapolis Mayor-Elect Mike Pantelides (www.mikepantelidesformayor.com), age 30, who won his election by 59 votes in November. As he left the podium, MDGOP Chair Waterman described him as the “future of our party.” He was sworn-in as Mayor on December 2, and a Victory Party celebration was held at the Green Turtle in Annapolis on December 3.
