Halloween marketing opportunity, Maker’s Market, and artLAB clubs

Halloween in the Garden is always a howling good time; families attend this event as it provides a safe venue to trick or treat! Organizations and businesses are invited to reserve a space along Annmarie Garden’s lovely wooded path, hand out a gift or candy item to 2,000 – 3,000 children, while dressed up in a Halloween costume! Materials to promote your business or organization can also be distributed. Maker’s Market

Buy local at the Maker’s Market at Annmarie Garden on Saturday, September 1, 2012, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.  September’s Maker’s Market will feature handcrafted Japanese and Victorian fabric, woodworking, fresh produce, herbs, plants, dollhouse miniatures, wool products, clay ceramic and jewelry goods. Admission and parking to the Maker’s Market is free. After the market, pop into the Arts Building and enjoy the exhibit, Marc Castelli:  The Art of the Waterman that features 23 watercolor paintings. Regular admission fees apply to the Arts Building and Garden.

ArtLAB Clubs – week beginning August 20, 2012

artLAB (drop-in) clubs at Annmarie Garden will be held in the mornings, from 10:00 – 12:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. No registration is required. At $5 a visit, these low-cost, low-commitment meetings are a great way to meet people who share similar interests – all while making spectacularly creative objects for yourself and your home. For adults, plan an evening of Wine and Fun on Wednesday evening, 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
