ST. LEONARD, Md. — Families across Southern Maryland are invited to step away from their screens and spend the day on the farm as Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum hosts its 39th Annual Children’s Day on the Farm on Sunday, June 7.
The free community event will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum, located at 10515 Mackall Road in St. Leonard.
A longtime Southern Maryland tradition, Children’s Day on the Farm brings together families for a day of hands-on activities, live entertainment and opportunities to experience the region’s agricultural heritage. Visitors can enjoy wagon rides, live animals, arts and crafts, old-fashioned games, food vendors and a tractor parade, along with demonstrations and exhibits highlighting life on local farms past and present.
Fun For The Whole Family
Children can meet farm animals up close while adults and older youth explore antique equipment displays and working demonstrations throughout the park. The tractor parade remains one of the event’s most popular attractions each year.
