On March 3, Deputy Scott Ruest responded to a residence in Lexington Park for a disturbance. His investigation determined Mary B. White, 28 of Lexington Park, assaulted the victim during a family dispute which began between White and her brother. The victim intervened at which point the suspect (victims wife) attacked the victim resulting in visible injury.
Mary White was arrested for Assault and released to the custody of the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
While Deputy Ruest was trying to investigate the above domestic related assault, Daniel D. Hull, 19 of Lexington Park, continually yelled at the deputies present, failed to listen to directions to be quiet and at one point, pushed Deputy Ruest in an attempt to interfere with a witness interview being conducted by Dfc Keith Moritz.
Hull was arrested and charged with assault on Deputy Ruest and hindering an investigation. Hull was released to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
