Waldorf, MD – Maryland State Police are asking for the public’s help in help locating a vehicle that struck and killed a man on southbound Maryland Route 5 around 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Maryland State Police responded to a call for a hit and run motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on southbound Maryland Route 5 in the area of Montgomery Lane in Waldorf.
Because it was a serious accident, the Maryland State Police CRASH Team was called in to take over the investigation.
According to what police found in their preliminary investigation, Aaron Markeith Rust, 34 , of Waldorf, Maryland was standing/walking in the roadway when he was struck by a vehicle. Mr. Rust was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The vehicle, described as a a newer model white Ford F-250 or F-350 Crew Cab with right front headlamp damage, left the scene.
