Police say the driver was consuming alcohol before a crash that killed himself and his 86-year-old father in Indian Head.
At 1:55 p.m. Sept. 11, Lionel Anthony Thomas, 42 of Marbury, was driving a 1986 Dodge pickup south on Route 344 in Indian Head when he lost control and crossed the roadway and struck a tree.
Thomas and his passenger, Clarence Joseph Dunnington, 86 of Rison, were taken to Civista Medical Center, where they were both pronounced dead.
There were no other cars involved. Police say alcohol is a contributing factor.
The relationship between the men was father and son.
