MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — Firefighters from several departments responded to an early-morning structure fire on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, in the 4100 block of Bishop Road in Mechanicsville.
The fire was reported at approximately 3:29 a.m. Upon arrival, crews found two greenhouses and a shed heavily involved. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and prevent further spread, remaining on scene for about two hours before the fire was brought under control.
Command was established, and crews operated under a coordinated response before units returned to service.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
