Sgt. Eddison Hermond
LA PLATA, Md. – This is to advise that Governor Larry Hogan ordered the Maryland State Flag be lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full-staff at sunset on the day of interment (date unknown). This action is in honor of Sgt. Eddison Hermond of the Maryland National Guard, who died during his heroic rescue effort during the devastating flood in Ellicott City, Maryland.
