At 11:50 p.m. Aug. 17, TFC Nims responded to a reported Assault in the 22000 bock of Sandra Lane in California. Upon arrival contact was made with both individuals outside the residence.
The male suspect, Robert Lee Raley, 25, of California went back inside the residence and fled out the back door into the woods.
An attempt to locate the suspect was made with negative results.
A short time later, TFC Nims was dispatched back to the residence when he observed the suspect.
A short foot chase ensued and Mr. Raley was apprehended. He was arrested for Assault and Resisting Arrest.
He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
