LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The Town of Leonardtown released the following notice:
“To the immediate attention of the four young men who decided to climb on the roof of the former PNC Bank building at 12:45 a.m. Saturday morning to trespass and damage private property by tossing a cinder block off the roof of the building onto the sidewalk.
We have video of your destructive actions and have turned it over to St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Department. Putting your hoodies up after you see the camera sign does not erase the earlier video. Two of you walked away and did not go onto the roof. We are advising you to come forward on your own, prior to Friday, April 12th, before the video is released for the community to view your shocking and potentially harmful actions.
You have the power to choose responsibility and accept there are consequences for your actions.
We ask that you contact Corporal Roszell at 301-475-4200 ext. 8108.”
They were just kids messing around. Not like the building collapsed.
Then invite them to your home and tell them its ok to “mess around.”.

So your house needs to collapse before you have issue with people climbing on your roof and causing damage by throwing things off? Got it.
Did you stop and wonder what they may have damaged…the roof itself, parked cars below, something else?
Maybe but that block could of seriously hurt someone else but it’s still vandalism and they should be punished.

What? I’m pretty sure they are old enough to know better. So is it ok for these kids to come to your home and wreck it since they are just “kids?” You sound crazy, just stop. This is why we have cases like this, people like you to give them free reign with no punishment. They need to learn now there are consequences for your actions before it gets worse.

Lol, the police are given a chance out of the goodness of their hearts, what a joke. What they mean to say is the video is crap like the rest of the videos that capture criminal activity and St Mary’s police has no idea who, how or why. I have video of a package thief with their face visible clear as day stealing a package worth $3600. This is the authorities admitting they got away with it because nobody recognizes them. I’m not sure why they didn’t post the video but if they haven’t already, they won’t. You got away with it kiddos. Tell your kids about it when they’re old enough.
This is the same building FOX5DC may have a camera on its roof. I’m sure the video will be clear but if they are kids/minors, their faces will not be shown.
