WALDORF, Md. — A Waldorf woman was arrested after Charles County investigators uncovered significant quantities of suspected illegal drugs and distribution materials during the execution of a search warrant, according to court records.

Rekeia Myshay Reid, 26, was taken into custody Dec. 22 following a narcotics investigation conducted by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant at an apartment on Gallery Place in Waldorf.

According to charging documents, investigators seized multiple controlled substances from various locations throughout the residence. Police reported recovering approximately 38.7 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 33.3 grams of suspected powder cocaine, about 5 ounces of suspected phencyclidine (PCP), and approximately 4 grams of suspected MDMA. Additional suspected cocaine — totaling more than 20 grams — was also recovered from separate bags found in the laundry room.

Authorities stated the search also yielded digital scales, glass jars and vials containing drug residue, packaging materials, and large quantities of U.S. currency in various denominations. Investigators said the amounts recovered, combined with the packaging and presence of production equipment, were consistent with drug distribution activity rather than personal use.

Police also searched a vehicle associated with Reid and recovered additional suspected PCP mixed with tobacco flakes, a preparation method investigators said is commonly used for street-level sales. Field tests conducted at the scene produced positive results for cocaine, crack cocaine, PCP, and MDMA.

Reid faces more than 10 drug-related charges, including multiple felony counts of possession with intent to distribute narcotics and hallucinogens, possession of controlled dangerous substance production equipment, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor counts of possession of controlled dangerous substances not cannabis. Several of the felony charges carry potential penalties of up to 20 years in prison.

Reid was initially ordered held without bond during a bail review hearing on Dec. 23 before Judge Patrick J. Devine. A second bond review was held Dec. 30 before Judge Mimi Cooper, who ordered Reid released on her own recognizance.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2026, in Charles District Court.

  1. I suggest looking into the judge who released this CRIMINAL back onto the streets. A quick Google search of the name tells you everything! People need to take note of who is making decisions in the county, because some of these shysters certainly didn’t get in their positions by being good lawyers!

  2. Another success story for another “catch & release” thug! dey #1 for a reason…
