Sometime between 7 p.m. Feb. 3 and 9:45 a.m. Feb. 4, someone left a threatening note on a vehicle in the 2000 block of St. Thomas Drive in Waldorf.
The note made references to MS-13. Mara Salvatrucha, or MS-13, is a Hispanic street gang that originated in El Salvador and is believed to be the most violent gang in the U.S.
There has been documented MS-13 in Northern Virginia and Prince Georges County. Last summer 19 MS-13 members from Prince Georges were indicted on federal racketeering and murder charges.
