It seems Paul Atkinson canโ€™t seem to stay out of the news. After arrest after arrest and release after release, court case after court case, Atkinson found himself in handcuffs once again; this time for violating a restraining order.

On Sept. 9, 2008 Paul David Atkinson, 42 of no fixed address was served with a Final Protective Order ordering him not to have any contact with the petitioner of the Protective Order.ย  On Jan. 14, Atkinson called the petitioner which is in violation of the Protective Order. Atkinson was arrested and charged with violating a Protective Order.

This just into TBN newsroom, Paul Atkinson was released once again on Monday, Oct. 27, after his arrest on Oct. 25.

See original story below.

On Saturday, Oct. 25, TheBAYNET.com regularly featured news personality, Paul Atkinson, was arrested again. This time, he was arrested while trying to buy a new Hyundai at the new dealership in California wearing only a pair of pants.

Atkinson is no stranger to the local legal system. In fact, he is no stranger to local deputies, stateโ€™s attorneys, judges or loyal TBN readers. To the casual observer, the local celebrity arrestee seems immune to the efforts of local law enforcement.

St. Maryโ€™s County Sheriff Tim Cameron talked with TBN and stated the sheriffs are as frustrated as the family. โ€œOnce we arrest him it is up to the District Court Commissioners to determine what will happen,โ€ said Cameron. He went on to state that most of the crimes resulting in warrants for Atkinson have been misdemeanors, which may be part of the problem.

However, a relative who wishes to remain anonymous said that the man is a danger to himself, his wife and everyone else who drives on the road when Atkinson drives drunk, which he does with alarming regularity.

In a passionate letter received by TBN on Friday, Oct. 24, Atkinsonโ€™s mother-in-law, Mabel Cherry, stated, โ€œMy daughter, Susan Atkinson, has gone out of her way to try to help Paul, even after they were legally separated. Even after the protective order was set, she tried to help his parents get help for Paul. Nothing works as he checks himself out of a court appointed rehab.ย  He was arrested a few days ago and bond was set for $3,500.00 and then was reduced to $1,000.00.ย  He placed many calls to Susan, even though he was to have no contact to her and she told him โ€˜NOโ€™ she would not post his bail.ย

โ€œThe State of Maryland released him today on his own recognizance. Just as soon as he was released from jail, he starts calling Susan again and again.ย  All of this is really taking its’ toll on Susan.ย  She had the protective order taken out in September, I believe, and it hasn’t even slowed him down. Recently he was to report to a court appointed rehab facility and he was in there a day and half, before he checked himself out, once again.

โ€œThe police were called again this evening, for numerous calls to Susan from Paul. They are trying to find him, but even if they find him he will just be released again.

โ€œSusan has been dealing with this problem for quite a few years now and she has gone out of her way and done all she could to help him before they separated legally in June. It would seem to me that the state could be a little more diligent in the case of enforcing protective orders and in the way they deal with all the DUI’s and property damages, driving without a valid driver’s license and on and on โ€ฆโ€

TBN readers may remember Atkinson as the individual who, when arrested, has a bowel problem soiling himsel
