A 17-year-old Great Mills High School student has been charged with making a False Fire Alarm. According to DFM Caryn McMahon of the Maryland State Fire Marshall Office, the girl intentionally activated and pulled a fire-alarm pull station at the school at shortly after noon on Monday.

The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene and put in touch with the School Resource Officer Nelson, who identified the student as the culprit.

The girl was charged and released to the custody of a parent.
