GLEN BURNIE, Md. — A 33-year-old Glen Burnie man is being held without bond after police allege he attacked his grandfather with a hammer inside a residence, leaving the victim with serious injuries.
Anne Arundel County police responded at approximately 11:50 p.m. July 24, 2026, to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center regarding an injured person.
Officers met with an adult man who had suffered serious injuries during an assault at his Glen Burnie residence earlier that night.
Investigators determined an altercation occurred inside the home and alleged the victim’s grandson, Ethan Perry Labuskes, attacked him with a hammer.
Officers responded to the residence, located Labuskes and took him into custody.
Labuskes was charged with:
- Attempted first-degree murder
- Attempted second-degree murder
- First-degree assault
- Second-degree assault
- Reckless endangerment
- Theft between $100 and $1,500
- Robbery
- Armed robbery
Labuskes initially was held without bond following his arrest. At a bail review hearing July 27, 2026, Judge Danielle Marie Mosley ordered that he continue to be held without bond.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 26, 2026, in Anne Arundel County District Court.
