The Charles County Department of Health, Division of Substance Use is sponsoring free Naloxone Overdose Response Trainings at the Department of Health office (4545 Crain Highway, White Plains).ย Trainings are scheduled during the months of May and June on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Naloxone is a medicine that quickly and effectively reverses an opioid overdose. It is a prescription medication available to people at risk for overdose or for those who are likely to be in a position to witness and respond to one. A Naloxone kit, including medication will be given to each participant at the end of the class.
