At 2:38 p.m. on Feb. 5, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office received a call for report of a rape. A mother called claiming her 15-year-old son had raped her 3-year-old niece.
Officers along with units from the Lexington Park Rescue Squad responded to the 21300 block of Castaway Circle in Hermanville to investigate. Investigation revealed, a 3-year-old little girl was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for her injuries.
Department of Juvenile Justice was contacted and responded. The 15-year-old was taken into custody and was charged with second-degree rape.The juvenile remains in custody.
