Dennis Jackson Davis, Jr., 20, of Dunkirk, was arrested for possession of marijuana at the scene of a vehicle crash June 27.
At 7 p.m. Trooper Ewig responded to a traffic accident on Rt. 4 at Ward Road in Dunkirk. While exchanging information with the operator of one of the vehicles involved, TPR Ewig detected the odor of suspected marijuana.
A search was conducted and a CDS smoking device, containing suspected marijuana, was located. Davis was arrested for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia and was transported to the CCDC to await a commissionerโs hearing.
A 17-year-old St. Leonard boy was arrested for possession of marijuana on June 26 after a trooper found marijuana in his unoccupied vehicle.
At 2:38 a.m. TFC Bowling responded to Long Beach, St. Leonard, for a suspicious vehicle. Upon approaching the unoccupied vehicle, TFC Bowling detected the odor of suspected marijuana.
A search was conducted and a CDS smoking device, containing suspected marijuana, was located in the vehicle. Investigation led to the arrest of the boy for possession of marijuana and CDS paraphernalia. The juvenile was also charged with underage possession of alcohol and tobacco. After processing, he was released to a parent.
Michael Lee Shaffier, 27, of Mechanicsville, was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop June 25.
At 10:09 am TFC J. Linger stopped a vehicle on Route 234 At Horseshoe Road, Clements, when the driver was observed not wearing a seatbelt.
Due to the driverโs, actions an officer safety pat down was conducted. Recovered from Shaffierโs pants pocket was a bag of marijuana. He was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia, and taken to the detention center.
Ronald David Lewis 3rd, 28, of LaPlata, was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop June 24.
At 12:02 pm TFC J. Linger stopped a vehicle on Charlotte Hall Road at Golden Beach Road, Charlotte Hall, when he observed the tag on the boat trailer was expired.
Due to the driverโs actions an officer safety pat down was conducted. Recovered from his pants pocket was a bag of marijuana. Lewis was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was taken to the detention center and held pending a bond review.
Brian Patrick Meyers, 21, of Upper Marlboro, was arrested for possession of marijuana and DWI after he was found sleeping behind the wheel on June 24.
At 9:54 a.m. TFC Koch responded to the Dunkirk Village Shopping Center for a vehicle that was obstructing traffic. Meyers was asleep behind the wheel when TFC Koch approached the vehicle, was subsequently arrested for DUI. Incident to arrest, suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle.
In addition to the DUI, Meyers was charged with possession of marijuana. After processing, he was transported to the CCDC to await a commissionerโs hearing.
Brian Joseph Hammond, 21, of La Plata, was arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop June 23.
At 9:41 p.m., Officer R. E. Glover, Jr., of the Charles County Sheriffโs Officeโs Traffic Operations Unit was operating stationary radar in the 6300 block of Olivers Shop Road in Bryantown when he stopped a 1997
