WALDORF, Md. – Our 25th Anniversary High School Cadet Class has battled through the pandemic with Charles County not having in person school days throughout the year.

This group of young men and women have shown so far their courage, teamwork, work ethics and enthusiasm that will help them become active qualified firefighters.

We are also proud of the class where some made it through Emergency Medical Technician class during the first/second semesters. Overall, with the obstacles thrown at them, we are proud of the accomplishments to date.

On day two we were fortunate to have Bryans Road Engine #112 and Waldorf Truck #12 on hand to allow the student cadets the opportunity to use equipment from these two pieces of apparatus. The cadets performed an assortment of “live fire” evolutions experiencing first hand what it will take to continue as a volunteer in Charles County.

We thank Waldorf and Bryans Road for their kindness and another thank you to the amazing MFRI fire instructors….

Let’s finish strong!! And finally, to the entire MFRI Fire and EMS instructors and staff, thank you all for the patience and understanding as we continue providing the very best training to our student cadets.
