One of the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area’s most familiar broadcasters is also a Calvert County resident. Meteorologist Doug Hill was the featured speaker last week at Calvert Library Prince Frederick.
Hill, whose weather reports are a staple on ABC7/WJLA-TV and all-news WTOP Radio spoke at the local library branch Thursday, Nov. 17. The event was co-sponsored by the local chapter of National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and Calvert Library.
Hill has close to 30 years of experience in broadcasting. Prior to embarking on his broadcasting career, Hill, a Maryland native, served in the U.S. Air Force and later with the Prince George’s County Police Department.
In addition to recounting his career as a meteorologist, Hill shared with the audience information on how the Chesapeake Bay affects local weather patterns.
