On January 30, Deputy K. Nelson responded to a residence on Towey Court in Great Mills, for a report of a domestic assault.
When Deputy Nelson arrived at the residence she observed the residence to be in disarray, with furniture overturned and pictures knock off the wall.
Investigation revealed William Thomas Douglas, 28 of Great Mills, was involved in a verbal dispute with the victim which escalated into a physical assault when Thomas stuck the victim several times. Two other individuals at the residence attempted to stop Thomas from assaulting the victim and were also assaulted by Thomas.
Thomas was arrested and charged with three counts of second-degree assault and one count of destruction of property.
