On Sunday, January 15, 2012 at approximately 5:00 am, there was a report of a house fire in the 5100 block of Bayside Road.
North Beach (Co. #1), Huntingtown (Co #6), Prince Frederick (Co #2), Dunkirk (Co #5) as well as Tanker 2, Tanker 5 and Squad 6 with ambulance from North Beach all responded on the first alarm call.
As the engine from North Beach arrived on the scene, they reported the house to be 100% fully involved. Chief Command officer arrived shortly thereafter and was in charge of the fire scene. He reported that this would be a defense operation only as the structure was already fully involved.
It was not known if anyone was home at the time. Neighbors believed the homeowner was not home.
Fire Marshall had arrived and conducted an investigation for the cause of the fire.
It is believed that home owner did arrive at the scene about an hour and half after the call came out, but this could not be confirmed at this time.
