UPDATE
Leonardtown, MD – St. Mary’s County authorities reported two people sustained minor injuries as a result of a motor vehicle collision Thursday, Dec. 29 on Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown near Ledo Pizza. The crash occurred shortly after noon and snarled lunch-hour traffic in the town. The injured were transported to a nearby hospital. The crash is being investigated by police.
Leonardtown, MD – at 12:25 p.m. St. Mary’s County authorities reported a motor vehicle crash on Point Lookout Road in the area of the Leonardtown Ledo Pizza slightly north of Hollywood Road.
At 12:38 p.m. the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office advised that the northbound lane is shut down in this area. At 12:50 p.m. the northbound side was moving in one lane.
Motorists bound for the area are advised to use caution and expect delays.
