Born on December 24, 1934, in Dynard, MD, and raised in the Chaptico area, he was the beloved son of the late Agnes Virginia Burroughs and Peter Paul Hall, Sr. He was the loving husband of 61 years, devoted to Mary Ann Penn. Jackson and Mary Ann were married on September 14, 1963, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bushwood, MD. Jackson will be dearly missed by his wife, Mary Ann, and by his children, Pamela Bowles (Randy), Aggie White (Jason Copsey), David Hall, Sr. (Barbara), Alice Hall, James Allen Hall (Jenn), all residing in Chaptico, MD. Jackson was a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, MD, where he graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1952. He was a lifelong farmer; in his early years, it was with his brothers, Billy, Possum, and Puddin, as they were known as the Hall Brothers. Together they farmed tobacco and grain and raised various farm animals. Later they would all move to their own farms where they, along with their own children, farmed the land on which they lived. He was still gardening right up until the day of his passing. After retiring from full-time farming, Jackson worked for many years at True Value/ACE Hardware in Leonardtown, MD. He retired from ACE at age 87.

Jackson was an avid outdoorsman, hunting right up until his passing. He loved to dance, play cards, and celebrate with family and friends. He instilled hard work, honesty, and integrity in his children. Jackson was a man of strong faith and a devout Catholic.

Jackson cherished his family and took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Seeing his grandchildren always brought a huge smile to his face. All of Jackson’s children live beside him on the farm to which he dedicated his life. He could often be found riding his four-wheeler or lawnmower around the property.
