The St. Leonard Fire Department ended their Summer Concert Series in rockin’ fashion Sunday, Sept 19, with Uncle Kracker and Jason Aldean entertaining the crowd in an afternoon concert. The weather was perfect with sunshine and 80 degree temperatures at the outdoor Bayside Toyota Pavillion.
Uncle Kracker took the stage first, making the audience “Smile” with his latest hit, and bringing great tunes like “When The Sun Goes Down’, Drift Away” and “Follow Me.”
Jason Aldean hit the stage at about 5:30 p.m. and the younger audience loved it as he turned out country hits like, “Hicktown”, “Why” “Johnny Cash, “Crazy Town” and “Big Green Tractor.” Aldean finished the show with a rousing encore of Kid Rock’s “Cowboy”. His career was kicked off with the release of his debut CD the self titled “Jason Aldean” and is still rolling along with today’s release of his latest CD “My Kind Of Party.”
Roberta Baker of the St Leonard Fire Department thanked everyone for their continuedย support of the Summer concerts and though this season was hard work, is ready to “start working on next year’s exciting series”. The concert sold over 6,000 tickets virtually filling the venue as the crowd partied all afternoon with no incidents and a great time was had by all.
