MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — A two-vehicle crash along Point Lookout Road sent one SUV off the roadway and into a ditch Monday afternoon, but no injuries were reported.
The collision occurred just after 1 p.m. on July 7, 2025, near the intersection of Bellevue Lane. Emergency responders arrived to find a heavily damaged Jeep Grand Cherokee with its front end smashed and resting in a muddy embankment off the roadway.
A red pickup truck hauling a large livestock trailer with two blown tires was also stopped at the scene.
Skid marks and vehicle debris, including a detached tire and shattered grille pieces, were scattered across the roadway. Despite the damage, all occupants were evaluated by EMS and declined transport.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
