The third-annual Southern Maryland Invitational Livestock Expo (SMILE) was held last weekend July 7 and 8, at the St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds.

The SMILE expo is an event for area youth in the five counties of Southern Maryland to showcase their best steer, horse, heifer, dog sheep or goat.

Premium prizes were awarded across all breed classes, and the Dog Show featured fitting and showing and obedience classes for mixed breed and unregistered dogs.

A complete list of 2007 SMILE winners follows. Next year’s show will be June 28 and 29, 2008.

See Slideshow below for photos from the event.

Readers are encouraged to share additional photos taken at the 2007 SMILE at St. Mary’s County Fairgrounds.
