On April 15, the St. Mary’s County Emergency Communications Center broadcast a lookout for a male wanted for a theft which had just occurred at the Kmart in California.
The subject was located a few stores down from the Kmart in the same shopping center. The subject was identified as Joseph Dale Thomas, 50 of Lexington Park.
Investigation revealed Thomas removed a 19 inch Sony LCD television from the display, placed it in a bag and walked past all points of check out without paying for the television.
