LA PLATA, Md. – On March 1, 2025, Lt. Jason Posey was elected as Vice President of the Potomac Boundaries Advisors Association (PBAA). The PBAA is a regional association that trains the leaders of Police Explorer and Public Safety Cadet Programs.
Lt. Posey has led LPPD’s Public Safety Cadet Program for many years and served as a mentor to dozens of young people who have moved on in life to become members of the military, police officers, a large retail store manager, merchant marine and the list goes on.
Chief Schinner stated, “Jason is a community difference maker! His mentorship has helped positively shape the lives of dozens of youth. La Plata, Charles County, and beyond have benefited from his leadership and care for our youth!
