LEONARDTOWN, Md. – Non-alcoholic cocktail company Lau-Lee Tales, founded by owner Laurie-Lee Mueller, will debut its signature libations in partnership with Helen’s Cafe and Catering, owned by Helen Uhler, at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026.

The debut will take place during the Hollywood Lions Club’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Wicomico Shores Golf Course, located at 35794 Aviation Yacht Club Rd. #2962, Mechanicsville, Maryland 20659. Lau-Lee Tales is proud to be a Gold Sponsor, sponsoring a team of four golfers: Jared Clover, Christopher Fink, Julie McElroy, and Vickie O’Neil:

Jared Clover serves as Assistant Director of the Veteran Golfers Association (VGA) in Maryland (https://vgagolf.org/) where he helps advance the organization’s mission and supports Maryland’s veteran golf community. He assists with coordinating tournaments across the state, promoting events, recognizing competitors, and creating a welcoming environment for veterans and their families. Through these efforts, Jared helps the VGA use golf to foster camaraderie, connection, and purpose, combat veteran isolation, and build lasting friendships along with strong sense of community.

Christopher Fink is the head golf coach at Patuxent High School and an Assistant Golf Coach at the College of Southern Maryland (CSM). He also works at the Chesapeake Hills Golf Course pro shop, where he supports and assists with daily operations, manages all in-house events, and coordinates with organizations to help plan and host tournaments.

Julie McElroy is a two-time club champion of the Ladies’ League at Chesapeake Hill Golf Course, winning the title in 2015 and again in 2025, and was also the Net Division winner in 2024. Julie has also competed in the National Senior Games in Fort Lauderdale (2022), Pittsburgh (2023) and Des Moines (2025). In 2026, she will play in the Ladies’ League at Wicomico Shores Golf Club.

Vickie O’Neil has played golf since 2018. Vickie has competed in the Ladies’ League at Chesapeake Hill Golf Course in both 2021 and 2026, and was the runner-up in the Net Division. In 2025, she competed in the National Senior Games in Des Moines, Iowa. A member of Hollywood’s Leonardtown Optimist Club since 2018, Vickie partnered with the club to establish an annual golf tournament benefiting the Clements Cuties Foundation which supports local families with children facing terminal cancer. Since 2022, the Leonardtown Optimist Club has donated between $8,000 and $10,000 annually to the Clements Cuties Foundation.

Lau-Lee Tales’ unique line of non-alcoholic beverages officially launched in partnership with Helen’s Cafe and Catering on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the 250 Years of Freedom Golf Invitational, held at Cedar Point Golf Course at NAS Patuxent River in Maryland. The event was part of the celebration of the U.S. Navy’s 250th Anniversary during PAX NAS Airshow Week and was presented by the St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce and Olio Events.

To support our mission, we created “Cocktails with an Enlightened Twist”—a collection of non-alcoholic favorites like the margarita and bee’s knees, each made with a non-alcoholic “Spirit” and paired with its own unique “Tale.” We’re also excited to introduce Blue Shrug, the official mascot of Lau-Lee Tales and a fun symbol of the spirit behind our mission.

A portion of our profits will go toward supporting organizations and causes that share our commitment to making a difference.

Lau-Lee Tales has teamed up with a local restaurant favorite, Helen’s Café & Catering, to exclusively sell our “Cocktails with an Enlightened Twist” within St. Mary’s County.

Helen’s Café & Catering officially reopened Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in the former Kevin’s Corner Kafé building on Point Lookout Road, in Leonardtown, Maryland. The newly renovated farmhouse-style café serves its popular home-style cooking Wednesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lau-Lee Tales’ mission is simple: “To Support Sobriety with Confidence, Integrity, and Unity.” Central to this purpose is a commitment to partnering with organizations that support people affected by alcohol abuse, the opioid crisis, mental health challenges, and veterans’ needs. We also want to shine a light on the impact of mental illness, bullying, and addiction across the country. A portion of our profits goes towards supporting and advancing this mission.

Each cocktail is crafted with a non-alcoholic “Spirit” and comes with its own distinctive tale. With names like “Decisive Resilience,” and “What Just Happened,” each drink has a story to tell – and who wouldn’t want to enjoy a good drink with a good story?

Come join us for a great day of Lau-Lee Tales’ creative non-alcoholic cocktails paired with Helen’s Café & Catering’s delicious Maryland cuisine at the Hollywood Lions Club’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Wicomico Shores Golf Course in Mechanicsville, Maryland.
