Wayne Adams, 79 of Hollywood, Maryland passed away on July 13, 2026. Wayne was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and lived a life defined by honor, discipline, and a profound commitment to his country. His distinguished service and unwavering devotion to his family and community have left a lasting legacy of service and patriotism that will be remembered always. Born in Rocky Mount, NC on April 9, 1947, he is the son of Leslie โ€œBuddyโ€ Adams and Erma Mae (nee: Crews) Adams of North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Barbra Jean, his daughter, Renee Adams Marlow of Rocky Mount, NC and his sister Gail Lacey of Mechanicsville, MD.

Born with a deep-seated desire to serve, Wayne dedicated his life to the principles of integrity, service before self, and excellence in all he did. During his time in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, he embodied the true spirit of an American airman. Whether he was stationed at home or abroad, his dedication to his duties and his fellow service members never wavered.

Beyond his military service, Wayne was a cornerstone of his community. Known for his steadfast reliability, warm camaraderie, and willingness to lend a helping hand, he brought the same level of commitment to his civilian life that he displayed in uniform. He valued his family above all else and was a guiding light, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather.

Wayne’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives he touched. His legacy is one of courage, resilience, and an abiding love for his country and his loved ones.

Family will receive friends for Wayneโ€™s Life Celebration at a later date at the Patuxent Moose Lodge in Hollywood, MD.
