A Leonardtown High School (LHS) graduate is in a coma at a Washington, DC hospital after being assaulted sometime overnight Friday evening near Eastern Market on Capitol Hill. Thomas “TC” Maslin, 29, is a 2001 graduate of Leonardtown High School. His wife Abby is a St. Mary’s College graduate.
According to published reports, Maslin had attended a Nationals game on Friday evening and was walking to his Capitol Hill home from a nearby bar when he was apparently struck on the head with a blunt object. He was found on the steps of a townhouse Saturday morning. Police theorize he attempted to get help by knocking on doors in the neighborhood but no one was at home. He was found by the neighbor next door to where he lay unconscious.
Maslin is an employee of IHS, a global marketing company. His wife is a teacher at Robert Bret Elementary School. The school’s website has a posting from Abby that asks for “everybody to pray for her and TC.
