CAS Cheer & Dance is pleased to announce that Kellie Gray, Dance Program Director for CAS has been honored to receive the prestigious “Thirty Under Thirty” Award for 2011.
The Thirty Under Thirty Awards seek to identify and honor the best up and coming young coaches under thirty years old in the spirit industry. Through a careful study of each nomination submitted the committee will recognize talented and innovative coaches who are under thirty. A numbers of factors are weighed, including but not limited to:
Size and scope of coaching responsibilities
Accomplishments early in her/his coaching career
Involvement in the industry
Creative and innovative coaching methods
Specific coaching results driven by the ideas, methods, and execution of the nominee, including team growth, former cheerleaders’ success, and other achievement criteria unique to nominee.
A successful candidate for a Thirty Under Thirty Award must be emerging as a leader within the coaching ranks of the spirit industry. The winners of the Thirty Under Thirty Awards will be honored at the 2011 National CheerCon hosted by Cheer Ltd., May 20 – 22 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Kellie has been the dance program director and head coach since the addition of dance to the CAS program in 2006. During this time she has coached both team and individual competitors to 27 First Place Finishes, 1 State and 10 National Titles. Kellie is looking forward to the continued growth and success of the program. CAS is currently accepting registrations for both their cheer & dance teams through the summer months.
