WALDORF, Md. — The Jamaur Law Foundation is teaming up with Maryland Express Tag & Title to provide holiday gifts, clothing, and essentials to 20 local families, offering community members multiple ways to give back during a season that can be financially and emotionally challenging for many.
In a message to supporters, Jamaur Law, executive director of the Jamaur Law Foundation, said the partnership aims to remind families that their community “sees them, values them, and truly cares.”
“We host this event each year because the holiday season can be overwhelming for families who are already doing everything, they can just to make ends meet,” Law said. “These are not just gifts; they are heartfelt blessings that provide hope, relieve a financial burden, and uplift families emotionally during a time when so many are grieving and silently struggling. There are too many grieving souls that need to be uplifted, and our goal is to remind families that their community sees them, values them, and truly cares.”
The initiative allows residents to adopt a family and donate gifts tailored to children’s specific needs. This year’s list includes infants through teenagers, with requested items such as clothing, toys, diapers, winter coats, and shoes.
The partnership expands on past joint efforts between the two organizations, including a school supply drive this past summer that supported students throughout the region.
“Partnering with Maryland Express Tag & Title allows us to expand our impact and reach families we might not reach alone,” Law said. “Our shared mission is rooted in giving hope to households across the Washington DC region. Together, we’re able to leverage our platforms, resources, and relationships to support families in a meaningful way and show what collaboration truly looks like.”
Families can be adopted through the foundation’s holiday drive, and donors may drop off items to Jamaur Law Foundation at 1282 Smallwood Dr. W., PMB 1140, Waldorf, MD 20603.
Law said the partnership will continue to grow as both organizations remain committed to “providing hope, financial relief, and joy to families throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan area.”
