Bellevue, WA – In celebration of DreamBox Learningโs 10-year anniversary, the company that pioneered Intelligent Adaptive Learningโข announced June 1 the recipients of the DreamBox Learning Hero Awards 10 educators and 10 administrators from across the U.S. and Canada who share DreamBoxโs vision for the future of learning.
The DreamBox Learning Hero Awards recognize educators and administrators who have delivered excellence in education and student success through the use of DreamBoxโs K-8 adaptive math solution. Their passion and dedication to improving student outcomes are demonstrated through a personalized learning experience that encourages students to think differently about math, actively engages families and communities, and supports teacher professional learning.
โThese honorees represent an inspirational class of learning leaders that are truly committed to empowering students to embrace learning and gain the confidence that comes from genuine understanding,โ said Jessie Woolley-Wilson, president and CEO of DreamBox Learning. โWe are honored to partner with such a visionary group of educators who work tirelessly to support exceptional teaching and unlock the learning potential in each student.โ
The honorees reflect DreamBox Learningโs values of equity, access and empowerment, and are at the top of their profession. They are changing the lives of students every day.
DreamBox Learning Heroes were selected from more than 100 nominated educators and administrators reviewed in three rounds of judging. Each honoree will be recognized at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) 2016 Conference and Expo held in Denver June 26-29.
Local kindergarten teacher Maria DiBello of Calvert Elementary School (CES) has been recognized as a DreamBox Learning Hero for delivering excellence in education and student success. DiBello is one of 10 educators and 10 administrators across the U.S. and Canada selected from more than 100 applicants.
She has been teaching for 32 years and has seen education change during this time. DiBelloโs classroom was one of the first to implement a pilot adaptive learning math platform into her classroom and has seen tremendous results. Her class this year has gained 184 percent progress since the first week of school. She sees technology usage at an early school age as preparing students for their future.
Maria DiBello is no stranger to awards, she was chosen as Calvert Countyโs teacher of the year in 2003.
