At 11:48 p.m. on November 30, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to St. Charles Parkway near Gateview Place in Waldorf for the report of a motor vehicle crash.
Investigation revealed a Ford Escape driven by a 16-year-old Waldorf boy was traveling north on St. Charles Parkway when he failed to negotiate a turn, left the roadway and struck a tree.
The boy was flown by U.S. Park Police helicopter Eagle One to Prince George’s Hospital Center in stable condition with minor injuries.
Further investigation revealed he was driving with a learner’s permit without adult supervision. Charges are pending.
