Man Airlifted After Lexington Park Shooting; Investigation Underway

UPDATE – 11/1/2024 – Detectives Apprehend Two Suspects In Lexington Park Shooting; One Suspect Still Sought

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. – Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in the 22000 block of Valley Estates Drive in Lexington Park on Wednesday, October 30, at approximately 8:15 p.m.

On arrival, deputies found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies applied immediate first aid, and the victim was subsequently airlifted to a regional hospital for further treatment.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division have taken over the case, and preliminary findings indicate this appears to be an isolated incident with no broader threat to public safety.

  1. Amazing how LP City has become the Waldorf/Baltimore of southern Maryland. When this person is caught, and they will be, I hope the justice system gets a backbone. All the road cops be safe. Don’t take any chances. These people are dangerous. Jaymi Sterling & your very capable staff, get tough on these criminals. Judges! a fair trial and then the max sentence straight up. No max sentence and then let them serve less than half active. Let the parole board decide if prison has rehabilitated the criminal.
