Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Ashford Circle in Waldorf on September 7th at 3:44 a.m. for the report of suspicious activity.
Upon arrival, officers located a suspicious vehicle. The front and rear seat passengers exited the car and attempted to walk away while the driver remained in the vehicle.
Officers made contact with the driver as well as the passengers that exited the car. Investigation revealed that one of the passengers, Kevin Michael Kinter, 22, of Waldorf was in possession of marijuana and a loaded handgun.
The driver, Catharine Covert Kirby, 41, of Reston, Virginia, was in possession of drugs and paraphernalia.
Kirby was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kinter was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. PFC M. Kelly investigated.
