On May 27, Deputy Knott responded to Milt’s Sales and Service in Mechanicsville, for a report of a theft.
A witness reported he observed Randall William Plummer, 21 of St. Inigoes, reach over the sales counter and take a flashlight and possibly other items hanging from a store display. The witness provided Deputy Knott with a description of the flashlight taken. Plummer exited the store without paying for the item. Plummer was last seen as a passenger in a construction truck bearing the name of a local business. Deputy Knott responded to that business and contacted Plummer. Plummer was found in possession of the stolen flashlight. Plummer was arrested.
Search incident to the arrest revealed Plummer was also in possession of a smoking device containing suspected marijuana residue. Plummer was charged with theft, controlled dangerous substance and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.
