Clarksville, MD — An early-morning raid on the home of a Clarksville man led to his arrest on child pornography charges.
Around 5 a.m. Monday morning, the Maryland State Police and Homeland Security and Investigations served a search warrant at the home of John Monroe Jr., 26, of Clarksville, Maryland.
Police say they found multiple child pornography files on Monroe’s electronic devices. He was arrested without incident.
The Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force became aware of Monroe’s activities while conducting an online investigation for offenders sharing child pornography back in June.
He is charged with three counts of distribution of child pornography and six counts of possession of child pornography.
