On Saturday afternoon Jan. 31 around 2:30 p.m., a woman passing by the 20800 block of Hermanville Road in Hermanville discovered a male victim lying in a ditch.
The passerby called 911 immediately. As emergency officials arrived on the scene, the male victim was bleeding all over and had a very cold temperture. Originally, authorities thought the victim may have been hit by a motor vehicle and had been laying there for several hours. Further investigation led authorities to believe the male in the ditch may be an assault victim, after he made comments like “They beat me up.”
The victim was flown by Trooper 7 to Prince George’s Hospital for his traumatic injuries. Police have no suspects at this time. If you have any information about this case, please call St. Mary’s County Police.
