Charles County PFC F. Davis, Jr., was conducting radar in the area of Rosewick Road near Radio Station Road in La Plata on August 31st at 12:30 a.m. when he observed a car exceeding the speed limit.
Officer Davis initiated a traffic stop and upon approaching the driver, he observed a pill grinder containing suspected marijuana on the console. Officer Davis also found illegal mushrooms, a small amount of pills, a digital scale and packaging material commonly used for illegal drug sales.
The driver, Robert Abell, 20, of La Plata was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute drugs.
