On Nov. 6 at approximately 4:09 a.m., members of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to Md. Route 231 eastbound east of Seagull Beach Road in Prince Frederick for the report of a fatal motor vehicle crash.
Upon arrival it was determined that the victim, Frank Allan Ade, 59 of Brandywine, was traveling eastbound along Route 231 when the vehicle he was operating, a 1995 Ford Contour, left the roadway for unknown reasons. Shortly after leaving the roadway, the Contour struck a culvert and became airborne. The vehicle overturned several times after striking the culvert. Ade was not belted and was subsequently ejected prior to the vehicle coming to rest.
Ade was transported from the scene via ambulance and was later pronounced dead at Calvert Memorial Hospital. The investigation is being handled by Cpl. G. M. Shrawder of the Crash Reconstruction Unit.
