ย At 6:10 a.m. March 2, Charles County Sheriffโ€™s officers responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle stopped in the middle of the road at the intersection of Glymont Road and Cedar Lane in Indian Head.

ย Upon arrival, Officer M. Oโ€™Shields observed a Buick passenger car in the middle of the road with its headlights on and saw the driver slumped over in the driverโ€™s seat.

ย Investigation revealed the driver, Alvoid Wright Hamilton, Jr., 30, of Capitol Heights, was intoxicated.

ย Hamilton was arrested and a subsequent searched revealed he was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

ย He was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle and improperly displaying vehicle registration. He was released from the Charles County Detention Center on his personal recognizance.
