Update from the St. Mary’s Couty Sheriff’s Office:

Lexington Park, Maryland – On March 29, deputies made contact with a juvenile female victim who reported she had been kidnapped and assaulted. The victim alleged on March 18 she was in the area of Lincoln Avenue, when a vehicle, occupied by two black male suspects, stopped nearby. One of the suspects got out of the vehicle, grabbed the victim by the neck and forced her into the vehicle. The suspects drove the victim to a residence in Lexington Park where she was forced to stay.

While at the residence, the victim alleged one of the suspects, identified as Brandon Leonard Young, age 28, of Lexington Park, strangled her with his hands and threw her against a wall. Additional witnesses were interviewed who corroborated the victim’s accounts of events.

Young was located and placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and charged with Kidnapping and 2nd Degree Assault. 

A man was arrested on March 30 for a kidnapping that occurred on March 18.

According to court documents, Brandon L. Young (pictured above) is currently being held in lieu of a $75,000 bond. 

In addition to the kidnapping charge Young is also being charged with second degree assault.

Young has previous charges of second degree assault from an incident that occurred in August 2014, according to court documents.
