Eric F. Ramey
Chesapeake Beach, MD – On May 3, 2016, DFC. R. Cress was on routine patrol in Chesapeake Beach when he observed a vehicle which appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed. DFC. Cress was unable to make an immediate U-turn so he radioed DFC. Fox. DFC. Fox located the vehicle on Bayside Road to the area of the entrance to the Navy Research Laboratory and conducted the traffic stop. DFC. Cress arrived and identified the driver as Eric F. Ramey, 58, of Prince Frederick. While DFC. Cress was issuing the appropriate warning citation, DFC Jacobs conducted a canine scan of the exterior of the vehicle with his canine partner and a positive alert to the vehicle was indicated. Mr. Ramey was charged with CDS possession-not marijuana (oxycodone) and CDS paraphernalia (paper)
