On Friday, October 14, 2005 at 5:52 pm, Trooper M. Grimes responded to Fox Chase Drive, Lexington Park, for a reported check welfare call. Upon arriving on the scene contact was made with husband and wife suspects.
They both advised that an argument began over money. The husband got into the car to leave when the wife threw ice cream onto the windshield. The husband exited the vehicle and a shoving match ensued.
No medical attention was required.
The husband, Tony Jerome Armwood, 29, of Lexington Park was arrested and charged with assault. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.
Due to young children in the house the wife was not charged at that time, but charges against the wife are pending.
