Attention students! The Maryland Emergency Management Association is offering one $1,000 scholarship for the 2015 school year in Southern Maryland.
The Association’s objective is to assist students pursuing a career in Emergency Management or in a related field (examples include Public Safety, Disaster Relief, Public Services, Weather Services, Corporate Risk Management or Meteorology) while promoting Emergency Management in the State of Maryland.
Applicants must be a senior enrolled in an accredited Maryland High School. Applications can be obtained from local high school guidance offices or can be requested from the St. Mary’s County Department of Emergency Services & Technology via e-mail at ema@stmarysmd.com.
The application process also requires a written essay to be submitted as well. The deadline for both is April 1, 2015.
