McDonough Varsity Football Team to Compete for State Title

The Maurice J. McDonough High School varsity football team will compete for the 2A division 2010 Maryland Football Championship title at 3:30 p.m., Saturday Dec. 4, against Middletown High School of Frederick County.  

The championship game will be held at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Tickets for the game are available for purchase on the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association’s Web site here: http://www.mpssaa.org/fallsports/football/release.asp?release_id=374.  

This is the second season within the past three school years that a varsity football team from Charles County Public Schools will compete for the state title. Westlake High School won the 3A title in 2008.
