MECHANICSVILLE, Md. – Deputies with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a string of commercial burglaries that occurred early Thursday in the 29000 block of Three Notch Road.
Responding to a report of a burglary, deputies arrived to find not one but three businesses in the same strip mall with signs of forced entry. Rear doors were damaged, and all three locations showed evidence of break-ins, according to authorities. Investigators also discovered tampering and damage to power meters serving the affected businesses.
The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has taken over the case.
